Erasmus+ Project "Improving International Practices in Higher Education in South Asia - MERGE" training hosted by LBUS
On November 16-18, 2022, Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu will host the 3rd and 4th training workshops, in the framework of the activity „Human capacity building” of the Erasmus+ Project „Improving International Practices in Higher Education in South Asia – MERGE”, 610391-EPP-1-2019-1-IT-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP, coordinated by the University of Genoa, Italy. The event, organized online, brings together top and senior managers, administrative staff, teachers, and researchers from four South Asian universities: Anna University, India;Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University – BAMU, India;Tribhuvan University, Nepal, and Mid-Western University, Nepal.
The main topics on the agenda will be international relation office (IRO) management and operations, international project implementation with the support of IROs, internationalization at home for non-mobile students, monitoring the quality and progress of internationalization.
The Project „Improving International Practices in Higher Education in South Asia – MERGE”, (610391-EPP-1-2019-1-IT-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP) is an initiative supported by the Erasmus+ Key Action 2/ CBHE, with a budget of EUR 679,193, and aims to improve the internationalisation practices in the South Asian region, particularly in Nepal and India, through strengthening institutional capacity in South Asia HEIs on a regional level. More specifically, the project will strengthen institutional capacity in implementing internationalisation through tailor-made trainings and accrediting strategic plans for the institutional development on internationalisation and international relations offices and encourage national awareness and regional integration through establishing a regional network on internationalisation on higher education in South Asia.
